Between the Beats is the home of handpicked music.
To read »between the lines« involves being curious, going beyond the superficial and reaching a more profound and complex understanding of things. This is our approach to music. We dig deep between the beats, eager to move beyond the mainstream. Our interest lies in music rooted in jazz, like soul, funk, electronic music, blues... meaning both long forgotten music as well as new beats. Music which is both challenging and surprising and which finds little space in mainstream channels.
With our website www.between-the-beats.com we want to create a platform for this kind of music and the individuals behind it. We don’t mean to convert anybody’s musical beliefs. Our page wants to provide those who share our passion and love for a certain style of music with a reliable »home-community«. And it’s also an offer for newcomers to get to know new and older music rooted in jazz.
In Between the Beats you’ll find news, podcasts and a community area with blog. We want to make you curious, provide you with content and new, relevant information and give you the chance to actively participate in the Between the Beats community. We want Between the Beats to be synonymous with exciting, sophisticated and high-quality music.
